The rich get richer? That's exactly what has happened on Monday for the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Already expected to compete for a National Championship next season, those hopes have only gotten higher after 5-star center Chet Holmgren announced his commitment.

Holgren checks in at 7-0, 200 pounds. He's ranked not only the No. 1 center in the country, but also the No. 1 prospect overall. Make no mistake about it, this is a massive get for Mark Few and the Bulldogs.

Throughout his recruitment, Holmgren received 30 offers. He had trimmed things down to Gonzaga, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Minnesota, Memphis and Georgetown back in June. For months, though, Gonzaga had emerged as the favorite.

After losing to Baylor in the National Championship earlier this month, Gonzaga fans were bummed. However, this team is built to compete for the title next season as well. Adding Holmgren to the lineup is only going to bring more excitement to Spokane.
